This is the second part of an article about 20 essential oils for purifying the air. Here is the second set of 10 oils:

  1. Hyssop

    Hyssop as a source of essential oil has a long history. It provides a strong and sweet scent that can blend well with other oils. It will spread around a room very well.

  2. Juniper Berry

    Juniper berry has a woody and fruity smell that goes well with citrus oils. It is often used for adding a masculine feel to aftershaves and colognes. It is also used for detoxing the body when it is used as massage oil.

  3. Lavandin

    Lavandin is the product of cross-pollination between true lavender and spike lavender. Lavandin is used in giving a fresh scent to detergents and other products. It is also used for chest rubs. It also has a gentle purifying effect.

  4. Lemongrass

    Lemongrass has long been used in India for several purposes. It is commonly used now as an astringent for skin care solutions.

  5. Lime

    Like other essential oils that come from fruits, lime essential oil comes from peelings. It can be combined with eucalyptus for a solution that can purify the air.

  6. Myrtle

    Myrtle has a penetrating scent that is also sweet. It is often used for skin care solutions in order to enlarge pores and to alleviate problems with oily skin. Myrtle can also be used in order to cleanse emotions and relax.

    Pine has a woody aroma that strongly suggests of evergreens. It is often used as deodorizer for many homes. Pine oil is also invigorating, making it ideal for air purification solutions.

  10. Sage

    Sage can be a source of a potent oil that should be used with caution. It is ideal when combined with lavandin for a purifying solution.
